About Me

I am a wife and mother to 5 kids, a doula, and a Registered Nurse with 14 years of experience, specifically in labor and delivery. Throughout my nursing career, especially in labor and delivery, I often found that my time with patients was too brief to truly understand their journeys. While I could gather their medical histories, I missed learning about what brought them joy, their favorite coping mechanisms, and the specific pregnancy support they needed. I had countless questions, but my focus was primarily on charting. As I progressed in my career and became more involved with education, I realized how much I missed the birth experience. This realization motivated me to become a doula, allowing me to merge the entire experience of pregnancy and birth. With over 300 birth experiences in both hospital and home settings, birth has become my true passion.
